LaTrice McClendon is a parent who is a proven, experienced public servant delivering for our families and communities.

Our children are the most precious things we have in our lives. I am the proud parent of three DPSCD students and I am on a mission to ensure that every child in the city of Detroit has access to quality public education. Our children deserve an education that gives them the opportunity to make their dreams a reality. As a lifelong Detroiter and proud graduate of Cass Technical High School, I know that our district is a gem and our students, teachers, and support staff should have every opportunity to be successful. Our public schools are the anchors of our communities and we need collaboration and strong leadership within the elected Detroit Public Schools Board of Education. We need a parent’s perspective at the table to ensure the decisions that are being made on a board level translate well into the classrooms of our students. I am asking for your vote to be elected to the DPSCD School Board because we need parents and community leaders on the board who truly care about our entire community. I am a problem solver, a doer, and I am committed to helping make our school district stronger. I look forward to talking with you about our shared vision and I hope I can count on your vote on November 8th.
